Mini Laptop Advancements

Over the last few years the call for mini laptops has grown in all parts of the world. These include some of the smallest laptops being made and they are designed to provide the ultimate in portable computing.

Although some people refer to these as strictly netbook computers they are actually only going to be as big as the smallest laptops. In other words the netbooks are the mini laptops which you see being used by people out in public at hotspots for example. This is common due to the fact they are perfect for getting onto wireless networks very quickly. Their size is what makes them so ultra portable and if you have ever had to do much traveling with a standard sized laptop computer then you can definitely understand what a difference a netbook can make. Much less bulk means easier packing and carrying as well.

The overall makeup of these including their small footprint which by design includes the combination of their small lightweight portability has earned the name mini laptops on more than one occasion. Basically, no matter what they are called they certainly live up to their name in more ways than one. Although the first incarnations left a bit to be desired as far as overall versatility and performance, the fact is that Intel for example has been perfecting the processors in certain models to actually be more efficient than in standard models.

Due to these advancements in technology over the last couple of years all of the processors, not just Intel, are beneficial to not only the power and performance of the mini laptops but to the length of battery charge life as well. These improvements can be quite significant when away from the electrical outlet for any decent amount of time. This is only one example of the many advancements being made in the designs of mini laptop computers.
